SAE(s):
My SAE projects include goat production placement where I working on my family farm. I help maintain our goat herd as well as raising and showing market goats at the Frederick county fair. I have had this SAE since the 6th grade. Two years ago I started an SAE in agriculture mechanics. I am restoring my 1954 Ford NAA Jubilee tractor that was my great grandfathers. He was an agriculture teacher and FFA advisor so this project means a lot to me.

Favorite CDE or LDE:
My favorite LDE is the Parliamentary Procedure contest. I first participated in the 9th grade in Conduct of Chapter meetings. I continued onto Parliamentary Procedure my sophomore year and during my senior year my team won the state LDE and went on to place as a Silver rated team at National FFA Convention. This contest is my favorite because it requires the abilities to think quickly on your feet, public speaking skills, as well as being knowledgeable about the rules of Roberts Rules of Order. I love how you truly have to work as a team and all I have learned my four years of participating.

Favorite FFA Memory:
My favorite FFA memory was getting to compete at the 95th National FFA Convention in the Parliamentary Procedure LDE. My team had placed last at the State LDE the year before so coming back to win at State and getting to compete at the National level was amazing. My team had spent close to a year practicing together so we formed a bond that made us like family.

Future Plans:
After my year serving as a state officer I will be attending Virginia Tech for 2 years through the Agriculture Technology program where I will be studying Agribusiness. After college I plan on attending a police academy and entering a career in law enforcement and operating my own small farm.
