Hailing from the Atlee FFA Chapter, Johnny Davis was a natural born leader and giver with an announcer voice that could captivate any crowd. While at Atlee High School, he served in a variety of leadership roles, including chapter president. He participated in various contests including prepared and extemporaneous public speaking, soils judging, hort demo and parliamentary procedure. |
Johnny served as the 1998-1999 Virginia State FFA Treasurer. During his year in office, he touched many young members’ lives. Johnny enjoyed assisting Virginia FFA Foundation with the late Cathy Hively Hughes who served as the Virginia FFA Foundation Director. Johnny earned his State and American FFA degrees. Johnny, his wife Allison and their children Ainsley and Sutton operated their family farm, Mud Run Farm in Ashland, Virginia. One of the greatest gifts Johnny passed on to his children was his love for service. His passion for agriculture and the FFA lives on in his family.
In conjunction with his state officer team and the Davis family, Virginia FFA Foundation is collecting donations to honor his memory.
